got supremely drunk last night, dont i ever learn my lesson? 7 of us headed to this pub Lollipop at Chinatown after work. opened a bottle of Chivas which is so easy to drink, i guess i went out of control. seeing how i drank on an empty stomach that probably made things worse. it was like that one time at Jarmz's place where i started crying after drinking one too many mixes. i felt i was letting out my deepest emotions but ive no idea what im sad about, i just am. my colleagues must have thought me crazy sobbing to myself.

later one of the guys and i took a cab down to meet our other colleagues for KTV at bishan. didnt go home 'cos i didnt want mummy worried. puked twice along the way and 3 more times when i got there. crashed on the couch and was so sick i couldnt stay up straight. only woke up when they were at their last couple of songs.

remind me never to drink this much again.

yay for 3 days leave. i should get a haircut, go for facial and get my eyebrows done.

glad i agreed to swap shift with my colleague, i really need that extra bit of sleep.

we went down around 9+pm for the wake. word was my friend's dad died from a work accident, apparently he fell into a grinding machine and his hand got sliced. friend seemed ok, said he has to hold up for his mum. sigh, the woes and vulnerability of life. (article on the accident)

i better start off the day proper by doing some running. have gotten seriously out of shape. cant fit into any of my skirts anymore! and dont you just hate that extra layer of flab around your stomach, especially when you sit down?

a friend at work, his dad passed away the night before in a car accident. a bunch of us will be going to the wake later tonight. i hope he's holding up well. it's so sad, just a couple months back his granny passed away, and now this. i guess the worse is when the death is sudden and unexpected. yesterday the whole day at work i kept thinking to myself what if this happens to me, i dont think i can ever take it.

am off today. suppose to complete my medical checkup later but im really not in the mood to go. maybe if i can delay it till saturday..

cousin's wedding is this weekend, but i'll havta give it a miss since im going to the wake, it being bad luck to the superstitious. besides, i had half a mind to attend the wedding.

ok ive caught up with all 16 Supernatural episodes. pure brilliance, some of the scenes/cases reminiscent of various horror flicks. also completed the first 4 episodes of One Tree Hill. how many seasons are they up to now? im liking Chad Michael Murray, really hawt... although more like bad boy hawt. rented HOuse of Wax because of him.. Sam Winchester's in it too! gotta watch it later.

last night was awesome fun with my workmates. 7 of us spent the night at Hotel Rendezvous, indulging in booze, chips and a game (or two) of pictionary. good times.

so glad ive got the WHOLE weekend off. am surviving on 3 hours of sleep, which means i'll be in for a long nap later. meantime mummy and i might head down to VideoEzy to rent some dvds. she's also pushing me for more Supernatural episodes. whee.

2 things im deliberating getting with my new paycheck: the bracelet i saw with jarmz last week, and nokia N90. decisions, decisions. and i still have my April bangkok trip to save for!

have gained 4 kg over the past 2 weeks. arrgh so icky and fat. ive slacked off my exercise routine for the past week and been pigging out instead. swensens with jarmz n jan, dinners at chomp chomp and adam road with jan and maria, dim sum at Lingzhi with the family. today we indulged in durians dad bought home. gotta get back on track before it's too late!

does feeling happy around someone constitute a special liking for that person? i dont think im crushing on him but i seem to look forward/ enjoy hanging out with him very much. wassup with that?

bought 3 books the other day: "the 5 people you meet in heaven", "the curious incident of the dog in the night time", and "the rules of life". nothing too heavy on the brain, although on a similar note my english seems rustier by the day.

so my bday wasnt that bad afterall. granted, i was a little disappointed when a night out with my workmates didnt turn out as planned but oh well.. shant dwell on that.

after much swapping of shifts i managed to have 4 consecutive days off, and i intend to fully maximise those free time. friday jan and i went SIm Lim Square to get my ipod video, a gift from mummy. i chose black since everyone thinks it's much cooler and easier to maintain. shopped at Bugis, bought 3 tops from eBase. then we met up with jan's gf at citylink to shop for some Haviannas. Jan bought me a pair of purple ones. proceeded to Suntec, got a top from Topshop.

dinner was at Indinnie(sp?), a pretty cool vegetarian restuarant. we shared gyoza, satay, eggplant dippers, curry with prata, lasagna, creamy baked rice, kuay tiao laksa, portobello burger(yummy!), mini fruit platter with warm chocolate dip, and chendol with coconut ice-cream. my stomach was probably stuffed to the brim!

met my old friends later in the night for BB mountain! although ive seen it on dvd i had to catch it on the big screen, haa! the film evoked different reactions from my friends, one was uncomfortable with the intimate scenes, another got all giggly. only mabe mummy was cool with the whole film.

after the movie mabe drove us to chinatown for supper.

got home around midnight where i finally got to cut my cake! i requested a wet/supermoist blackforest cake and i thought jan chose a pretty good one. he did a last minute order online the night before, so luckily they were able to deliver it on time.

happy chinese new year! the past week has been as follows:

sat- 1st day of CNY
the usual visiting of relatives. sad to see dad's oldest brother at his last stage of cancer. he's reduced to skin and bones and is in bed most of the time. hopefully we'll get to see him next chinese new year, which was what he told jan and i before we left. dinner was the standard affair where everyone on mom's side gathered at the grandparents' house. the cousins played rounds of "in between".. im always betting high and losing, and jan had to recoup my losses with his steady betting.

sun- 2nd day
work!!! enough said.

although not really. calls were few and sparse. everytime a call comes in, my colleague would mutter, "loser." most of the time was spent chatting, playing online games and msn-ing.

family dinner (with parents, jan and maria) at Linzhi, this vegetarian restaurant in town. was pretty fun, we ordered a set meal for 6 and each dish comes with a special auspicious meaning. it felt kinda "educational" especially since even mom doesnt know what those chinese words meant.

to go with the chinese theme, we watched Fearless at Lido. not bad, i think Jet Li suits that role to a T. the fighting scenes were ace, although it would have been better if they tone down on the special effects. it downplays the brilliance of his talent.

mon - 3rd day
my off day. we had some relatives over, mainly 'cos jan wanna hang out with his favourite nephew Adriel who's such a darling.

tue-sat: work
went MOS with 10 workmates on wed night. got high/almost drunk. my conclusion: i cant dance to retro but hip hop rocks. the perks of being a gal? guys pay for the alocohol. we had 6-8 jugs of cranberry/orange/lime vodkha + tequila shots. lucky i had the afternoon shift the following day, but my sales hit an all time low of $200+. haaa.

friday after work.. finally had my brows trimmed. spent $58 on lingerie at Tangs and $150 at Topshop. crap!

relatives on my mom's side came over yesterday. got home in time to join them for dinner. was fun hanging with rach, jan and maria.
